Franco Morbidelli s’élancera de la pole position devant son coéquipier Alex Marquez et le vainqueur ici même la saison dernière, Tom Luthi. Takaaki Nakagami, Miguel Oliveira et Danny Kent s’aligneront sur la deuxième ligne et devanceront Dominique Aegerter, Xavi Vierge, Francesco Bagnaia et Fabio Quartararo.
